You can hear the drummer laugh at the very end, because he can't believe he made it through the whole song without breaking rhythm.

I used edge logic on the first column. After that, it was easy. I have no idea what this is and will take your word for it.

Edge logic on C1 is the key. No guessing.

Yeah, 7/4 time would be pretty tricky.

Great puzzle! I love this piece, Dave Brubeck is genius.

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by jan.

My favorite is the Bill Crofut, Chris Brubeck version, which has lyrics:

Try playing the blues in old 7/4,
