i did in hershey, pa

I was outside talking to my neighbour,i didn't feel it but Niki and the kids did.Were in St Catharines,Ontario,Canada.

Wow, I didn't know it went that far north!

I felt it in Maryland, near Baltimore.

I also felt it in Montreal Quebec (even further north than St.Catherines, Ontario).

I'm near the epicenter. It sounded and felt BIG in the house. Everything was vibrating. Outside it wasn't bad at all.

I have friends that felt it in Chicago. I didn't notice it. But my husband definitely felt it at his office (in Charleston, WV). They evacuated and sent everyone home. I'm kind of upset I didn't feel it, how often can someone east of the Mississippi say they felt an earthquake!

This is the third time I've experienced an earthquake in the mid-Atlantic area, the others were while I was living in Fairfax, VA, I know one was in December 2002.

I did not feel the one the other day (I am in Maine), but have felt two others in my long life.

Hi Aldege, I'm somewhat of a Habs fan. I've spent most of my life in Toronto, and have been a Leafs fan all along, but it gets harder as the distance between 1967 and the present grows longer. (When I first started watching hockey on TV, back in the late 50's, I thought that Hockey Night in Canada was a TV show like any other - it had a script and the good guys won in the end. In those days, the Leafs managed to win every time I watched, or else would make a heroic effort to eke out a tie at the last minute. Since I played hockey myself, I admired the skill with which they appeared to be playing their hardest while actually following a script, Back in those days, I knew every player on every team - with only 6 teams you got to see every team many times through the season.)

It's certainly easier to cheer for the Habs these days, and safer too when I'm living in Montreal. I haven't been to Quebec City for a number of years now, but it's a beautiful city witha great deal of old world charm. (Montreal has that too, but with a greater cosmopolitan flair. I certainly love being in Montreal.)
