great logical puzzle
i actually had done edge logic on the 10 on the far right but then got stuck and had to resort to trickier edge logic on the top row

thanks bugaboo.

i agree that the top edge logic is tricky, but it's there. as of right now this is showing a red question mark. "massive" guessing? wow.

ok, so at the bottom, line logic alone fills in the bottom five rows completely, and completes C1 and C2 with dots all the top. that last bit being important as you edge logic the top. let's look at R1 (4) and R2 (6) starting in the top right corner. If you start the right side of the 4 at:

-C30, C29, C28 would violate the 2 in R3
-C27 would push the 3-2 in R3 to the right and violate R4
-C26, C25, C24 pushes the 6 in R2 right to violate R3
-C23, C22 pushes the 6 in R2 left to violate R3
-C21, C20, C19, C18 would violate R3
-C17 all the way to C7 would violate R2

Therefore, the 4 in R1 HAS to be C3, C4, C5, C6.

from that point just work from the top left downward and rightward and it's ALL line-logic from there.

I used edge logic in row 1 to make R1C7-R1C18 dots. I also had R1C24-R1C30 as dots. Making R1C19-R1C23 dots does require looking 3 moves ahead, so I'm not comfortable with that.

But I can now use edge logic in row 2 to make R2C11-R2C16 dots. Now going back to trying to place the 4 clue on the right, this will contradict row 2 as the 6 clue will no longer fit (only looking two moves ahead now). The rest with line logic.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.

that's a much clearer way of looking at it gator. i like that a lot. it's essentially the same thing i was doing but in multiple easier passes. i'll have to keep that in mind for the future. thanks.

Wow - that was a toughie! I was determined to do it without guessing, and eventually got past the top row, then the rest solved nicely. Nice image.

I love it!

solved -with some reverts

Couldn't see it at first because I was looking for a "string" kite. It is a wonderful image and a very tough puzzle for me. I had to guess numerous times but am glad I persisted.
