Found to be logically solvable by Gator.#2: Gator (Gator) on Apr 19, 2010 [HINT]
More edge logic than what is considered healthy for you. Please digest in small doses if necessary.#3: Amy Can (hannahkin) on Apr 19, 2010 [HINT]
First puzzle where I was actually able to successfully use edge logic! Yay! Thanks for the great learning tool.#4: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Apr 19, 2010 [HINT]
lots of edge logic. another good one Gator#5: Al LaPointe (kancamagus) on Apr 19, 2010 [HINT]
very fun exercise in edge logic, but i was very glad when it started to come back!#6: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Apr 19, 2010
great solving puzzle#7: Gator (Gator) on Apr 20, 2010
Thanks all.#8: Teresa K (fasstar) on Apr 20, 2010 [HINT]
Now that was a challenge! On this one, I did some edge logic, then got stuck. But I was able to use "holistic" logic (I think that's what Jan called it) where I could look at the clues and visualize the shape it had to be. Then I was able to spot the edge logic more easily. Very cool!#9: Jan Wolter (jan) on Apr 20, 2010 [HINT]
I used edge logic all over the place, but I think the critical and tricky stuff as on the bottom. Had to look at some of the four's a few lines in and compare them against the clues one line above, even though they weren't actually on the "edge" because the bottom line wasn't fully filled in.#10: Cynthia Lynn McDaniel (mcaardva) on May 10, 2010 [HINT]
I don't think I've ever used so much edge logic on one puzzle.
Edge logic all the way, but some of it wasn't on the edge! Started with column one, then used column 5 as another edge. Does that make sense?#11: Gator (Gator) on May 10, 2010
Makes sense to me. :)#12: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 10, 2010
Thanks all.
gator... could you check out my 8733 puz... i believe it can be solved logically ...while using row 2, thanks in advance#13: Matt Coulter (mcoulter) on May 13, 2010 [HINT]
As others have noted, some wicked cool edge logic to get this one started - especially on the bottom. Very neat. Once the left and bottom are done the rest practically solves itself.#14: Jota (jota) on Nov 16, 2010
Me love this one. Thanks!#15: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz71) on Oct 2, 2011 [SPOILER]
Cool puzzle Gator, I knew it was going to be a boomerang, the title gave a clue, but also the way the number clues were situated along the edge of the grid, that probably sounds a bit wacky, but I guess after doing so many puzzles you can get a feel for what sort of picture it will be by just looking at the numbers....maybe?#16: Gator (gator) on Oct 2, 2011
Agreed you can for some puzzles. Thanks.#17: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Oct 26, 2019
Very chewy...but I finally got it down.#18: Bill (PopPop ) on Nov 13, 2023
I was expecting a cat…
