This one will require some edge logic.

Don't all your puzzles require edge logic, Gator? ;)
This was a fun one -- I had my suspicions about what it would be, but it was fun to see it "pop" as I solved the puzzle. Even though there weren't any large groups along the edges, the pairing of the 2's and 1's limited the placement enough to get a start. I definitely had to work my way around the puzzle, filling in a few black squares and a few dots at a time.

Yes, I needed edge logic to get this puzzle started. Nice job.
#4: Byrdie (byrdie) on Nov 18, 2009
Nice image. Slow starter but once it gets going it goes quickly. Completely solvable with no guesses and I marked it as such.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.
#6: Gator (Gator) on Nov 18, 2009 [HINT]
Oops. Forgot to mark it as solvable.

I found this difficult to see even after solving. I thank sarriemom and rhodyboy888 for the solving tip.

Yes, I had no idea what this was until I read the description. Then it popped out. Great solving puzzle.

Ah, now I see it! Thanks for another fun solve, Gator.
#10: Jan Wolter (jan) on Nov 19, 2009
Not an instantly recognizable image, but a very interesting and unusual solve.
#11: Gator (Gator) on Nov 19, 2009
Yeah, the image looked a lot better BEFORE it was solvable. Oh well...

Just getting around to doing this one, and it had some really fun edge logic to get it started. Another great puzzle. I had no idea what the picture was until I read the description and then it popped out at me - love it.

Thanks Matt.

For those who stared at this for ten minutes like I did, here's a roadmap.

Notice the two columns on each side of the grid. On the extreme edges, there are 2 clues only, and inside are 1 clues.

Start with line logic and then head to the top and mark off C1 and C20 all the way to R8 where the 8,4,1 column already eliminates the 2 there on each side. There are only two clues of 1 originating from the edge; further edge logic helps fill in some squares there. Eventually the 7,8 completes and the rest is line logic.
