Great puzzle and an excellente image but is the only link to the theme is the fact that he played a mommy and mommy being egyptian are from africa??? or I'm missing something here
#5: Scylla Kat (scyllacat) on Jul 13, 2009
To #4: There's a theme?

This is actually rather easy, but lovely for that, such a complex image that just falls together under your fingers. Thank you.

The "theme" is "Africa," since Ugo submitted this puzzle under the title "#38 WCP..."

To # 5 check the honor tab on your left to see what the WCP is all about

As Adam said since Ugo enter it in this week contest and the theme was Africa I was just wondering if the links the the theme was the one I saw or if I was missing something
#8: Ugo (ugo) on Jul 13, 2009 [SPOILER]
Yes, the link to Africa is the the mummy itself. The character of the mummy is based on Imhotep, who served under the Third Dynasty king, Djoser, as chancellor to the pharaoh and high priest of the sun god Ra (I'm quoting wikipedia here).

Very fun puzzle. Thank you.

Very haunting image! Even from the beginning, with those eyes staring out from the grid. I wasn't thinking of Africa when I did my Egyptian puzzle. Hmmmm. Maybe I should enter that one as a WCP.

I agree that the stretch to the theme, though acceptable, was a bit thin. A bit sadder because the entire time I was doing this well executed puzzle I was expecting the outcome to be Lord Greystoke, better known as Tarzan. Of course it might help if I actually knew what the birthday of Lord Greystoke was.

All in all, however, a very nicely done puzzle and a wonderfully done image.

You always bring a smile to my face with your comments Byrdie, you must be fun to have around.
#13: Byrdie (byrdie) on Aug 30, 2009
Naw, I'm rather droll and boring in person.
#14: Jota (jota) on Aug 30, 2009
Interesting, two terms that don't usually go together.
#15: Byrdie (byrdie) on Aug 30, 2009
Oups. I meant dull.
