Puzzle Description:

Mosquito - not symmetric :)

#1: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Apr 30, 2009 [HINT] [SPOILER]

Another great one (much better being asymmetrical). I got the entire bottom half, with the central portion sticking up with simple line logic. Then I used edge logic on the 3 in the first column, placing a few pixels. Then I eliminated one square in the farthest remaining column on the right side by using edge logic on the 18th column, and then it solved easily. No guessing needed.

I agree with Adam though I won't go into as much detail. No guessing needed. :) It was much harder than the original though!

I liked this one alot for as small as it is. Lots of detail and the asymmetic aspects made it more interesting. I did make a little guess though in order to get past a little hump.

LOVE it! Thanks!
#5: Eric Francis (airdrik) on May 1, 2009 [HINT]
There's actually a couple different kinds of logic which can be used to solve the top half (after solving the bottom), including the edje-logic mentioned, smile-logic, and 'diagonal' logic (the clues indicate where the roughly diagonal 'lines' are)

Found to be logically solvable by jan.

Great puzzle! Esp for being such a small one!
#8: Teresa K (fasstar) on May 21, 2009
I really like this one. Just the right amount of challenge, with good detail.

love the puzzle and hate the subject. :)

I loved how this one solved! Perfect amount of challenge and reward. Thanks for another great puzzle!

Thanks Matt.

Ugh, it makes me itch! Well that, and I'm being bitten by real mosquitos right now. :P Ever since TS Lee, we've had sparrow-sized swamp skeeters *everywhere*!
#14: Gator (gator) on Sep 26, 2011
Sorry Kristen. :(

Boy, Gator, I can learn a lot from your puzzles. I bet you are a really smart person. I can barely solve puzzles. I'm amazed by those of you who make them. I would love to watch some of you solve this. I guessed a time or two.
#16: Gator (gator) on Jan 22, 2012
Thanks Edith.

Your "watch some of you solve this" comment made me wonder how one could capture the solving of a puzzle in video form. Anyone know how to do this (easily)?
#17: Jota (jota) on Jan 22, 2012
Interesting proposition!
#18: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jan 22, 2012
Record it and upload it to YouTube. Is there really any easier way? But that still doesn't give the viewer the "play by play" unless each step was spoken out loud while recording the solve, or also posted in written form which could then be viewed side-by-side along with the puzzle window and the YouTube window (and that just gets a bit messy). :-)
#19: Edith Clark (eclark) on Jan 22, 2012
That sounds pretty complicated. I just need a friend who is smarter than me who will let me watch them solve puzzles. My son introduced me to these and I do hours more than him. He lives in Texas; I live in Missouri. I'm really not sure he does any. He is good at them when he does but I don't see him much. :)

I've never recorded and uploaded anything to YouTube. Would I use a video camera or can I just capture in video form what I am doing on the screen?
#21: Edith Clark (eclark) on Jan 24, 2012
I know nothing about YouTube really. But if you upload to it, let me know.
