On this one, you can solve all the red before doing any of the green.

I think this is the highest quality picture in the database so far. And it's pretty hard, too! Excellent job!
#3: Mark Conger (aruba) on Jun 14, 2005
I still think this is one of the best puzzles in the database.
#4: Gitte Olesen (granny40) on Nov 29, 2006

Thank you. Like the title and the picture!
#12: K Chouinard (codenumerator) on Dec 16, 2008
I was thinking Rose Bowl instead of Rose from the title. The other bowls have turned into things like the "Poulin-Weed-Eater-Buy-an-Edger-for-$99" Bowl and the like. Plus, Jan said in the FAQ that he was from Ann Arbor, a Big 10 school. (Tee-he-hee, Michigan was like 3-9 this year!)

All this fun and Shakespeare too?! Almost more than one individual can take ... almost. This is a beautiful puzzle and got a real high quality mark from me.

I really enjoyed how things came together on this one - but MAN - you have to be patient filling in the blanks.

Slow process but the final solution is so simple in colors, yet intricate and beautiful.

Jan had great talent - This website is a great legacy to what I'm sure, to this person, was as great a diversion as it is for me. Thanks to all who maintain this website.
