Puzzle Description:

...then return fire! A mittened hand holding a snowball near a snow-fort, with a near miss whizzing by.

Gregg, I saw Groucho Marx stepping on a duck ;-)

In the words of Groucho: "Who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes?"
If that image of Groucho & duck is better than the snowball fight, maybe I'll change my description!

I have thought of puzzles where you have to solve each frame of an animated GIF, and then it would play for you.

This would be a most excellent frame in a series.

I didn't see it until I read the explanation. Then it was very clever.

very nice image!

for no particular reason i decided to hit this one very methodically. i worked each line one at a time top to bottom and then left to right...then vertically and horizontally again...then once more and it was done. three passes each direction.

Another terrific example of a picture that makes zero sense until you read the description, and then BAM there it is, in wonderful detail!

BAM indeed!

I agree with the above and add I was a bit confused why there were no blue or green colors given the puzzle title!
