Thanks, everyone. The helicopter wasn't part of the puzzle until I was almost finished, when suddenly it came into view, preparing to land at the station.

As a kid, I was always fascinated with the Coast Guard. I thought it was cool that they got to fly around in helicopters and speed through the oceans in their boats, and rescue people at sea.

I think "always standing" is a better translation.
"Prepared" comes from latin, etymology: "to stand before"

The Boy Scouts have a similar motto. :)

After you get stuck and can't place anything else with line logic, use edge logic to determine that you cannot place any of the "9" clue in R1 in the chunk to the left that is separated from the smaller chunk to the right. Knowing that the 9 has to go to the right, you can place some dots with more basic edge logic. From there, LL solves the rest.

As for my comment about quality, what a charming scene. It is such a cute little picture (cute despite being a military building) and like many other commenters, I liked the inclusion of the copter, too. ^-^
