The car Starsky drove in the TV series was a Ford Gran Torino, which gets its name from Turin (Torino), Italy.

Thanks! It's one of my favorite TV series. :-)

Fantastic job Meg! Just awesome! And Torino is my Grandpa's home town (son of Fortunata Re)!!
This was also very challenging. Kept me on my toes and entertained me for hours. Great fun and great job!

Thanks sooo much Rebelcat!!! ^v^

You're welcome, Gypso! I was fascinated to learn about Torino when they hosted the Olympics. It looks like a beautiful city.

It does look beautiful. I hope some day to visit. Torino is also famous for the Shroud of Turin kept there in the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist.

I am familiar with Starsky & Hutch, however I wasn't an avid viewer. I don't really know why not. What were the years of its original airing, do you know? Maybe that would help me solve this mystery.

Thanks again for the very cool puzzle! ^v^

Starsky and Hutch was on the air between 1975 and 1979. I was much too young to watch, even if we'd owned a TV back then! I got hooked on the series after the DVDs came out. :-)

Thanks Meg that helps a lot! Between those dates I was busy being a stepmom, then a birth mom and then a single mom.
Meg, did you want to classify your comment as a spoiler? (#6)
Thanks again. ^>^

Eep! Thanks for the reminder! I'm so bad at remembering to do that...

Rebelcat, you did it again. Love it. We didn't have color TV in my country, when I came to University in the US (1977) and I saw this show and couldn't believe the car was red.
