Very nice puzzle.

Very nice Brian.

Once all the blue, red, and green are done and there is just black left, I used affirmation logic on the 2 clue in column 19. No matter how that column is filled in, R11C18 will be black. The rest solves with line logic.

Nice puzzle.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.

This was going to be a WCP but I had some trouble with it. I fianlly made it logically solvable but too late for the contest.

this is beautiful, brian. a truly elegant image. also a great challenge and fun to solve.
#7: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Mar 28, 2011
gator after i did all the rest of the colors i used edge logic on the 2 in row 23 and then on the 2 in row 20 which then let me solve with line logic
please reread your comment because i think you typed some stuff in wrong or put your hint in the completely wrong puzzle ("R11C3" being black?)
plus i already had the black 2 in column 24 placed when getting the green right above that solved

oh yeah very nice puzzle moot

Thanks bugaboo - I did type something wrong. I corrected it up above.

It was a toughie! I had to laugh when I saw what it was. Recently my daughter, a couple of her friends and I went to NYC to see a play. While we were traveling in on the train, my daughter sees something out of the corner of her eye and before she can think, says out loud, "oh look a giraffe!" It was a construction crane. She was embarrassed and of course the rest of us haven't let it rest. When we got in the city, there were many, many cranes for us to point out the difference. She has been bombarded with FB posts about giraffes, etc. All in good fun, of course. So now I will have to show her this puzzle!

Very creative way to lead us to a giraffe from the title about leaves. I also like the perspective. This would be an incredible photo in real life. And I like that you made the tongue blue. They are one of the few species that has a distinct "black" (dark purplish) tongue, right? I know some dog breeds are known for it, too.
