Very cute, but that mass of black hair looks like she's clasping her hands behind her head. Sleeves might help. :)

so close to being solvable

I used edge logic on the 3 clues in columns 6 and 15 to get dots at R14C6 and R14C15.

Next look at row 13. Imagine the possibilities of only allowing a single space between the 3 clues in the row (first possibility would be R13C6-R13C8,R13C10-R13C12). Look at how this will affect row 12 under this condition. In every case, this will make row 12 invalid. Therefore, we can conclude that they has to be AT LEAST 2 spaces between the 3 clues. This lets us make R13C8 and R13C13 black.

Next let's do some two-way logic on the 1 clue in column 8 (and column 13 likewise). In both cases (looking two moves ahead for one case), R16C9 will be a dot (and so will R16C12).

And with that I think I'm stuck...

well i have to say it is a bit of a case of logic because i'm making a serie of puzzle's.

Ha! Her hair really is square. Funny.

I resorted to guessing. It probably wouldn't take much to make it solvable. Something to work on before publishing next time.

As this puzzle is now, it does not require guessing. Line logic allows you to fill it almost entirely. Problems begin on the face. Alternating smile logic on R9-10 gives you the superior portion of the eye. Line logic to complete columns 6 and 15, R13 and R14 can now be done. Smile logic on mouth.

Please change its status.
#12: Gator (Gator) on Apr 21, 2011 [HINT]
The alternating smile logic does not apply in rows 9-10. It doesn't quite meet the needed criteria. On another site, I had independently developed a proof for this kind of logic. Look here if you would like to read about it. http://www.heroglyphix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=276
