peek at solution solve puzzle
quality: difficulty: solvability: line & color logic only
Puzzle Description:
So I created a puzzle that was going to be for the WCP: a funnel web spider that Kate found during their stay in Sydney. (Only one of the most poisonous in the world.) However, even though the checker told me it was unique and solvable, when I went to solve it myself, it turned out to be one of the trickiest puzzles I've created! So this puzzle bites in more ways than one.

No guessing for me, but it sure was challenging. The long black stretches were my best clues.#5: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Mar 3, 2011

great solve
Here's the image I used; I made the fangs a little bigger out of necessity (as if they weren't scary enough): http://abcnews.go.com/images/GMA/nm_SydneyFunnelWebSpider_090608_mn.jpg#8: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Mar 4, 2011
You should still enter! I had a little trouble with the very bottom rows, until I realized that a foot had to be shifted, and then it solved nicely.#9: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Mar 4, 2011

I'm creeped out...I guess that means good job on the image. ;)#12: Teresa K (fasstar) on Apr 15, 2011 [SPOILER]
No, really it is very good.
Yikes! At first I thought it might be a dog on a leash, at rest. Then it turned into a giant spider!#13: Velma Warren (Shiro) on Aug 31, 2018
FYI, Jan's program for the checker is different (more accurate and thorough) from the program for the helper (quicker). Explanation can be found at the bottom of his FAQ.
Well, I solved it but I had to guess at least once. Beautiful image. Bet it was tough to design.#14: Luis Cavazos (luishifto) on Sep 6, 2020
