This photo isn't from Singin' in the rain though, it's from On the town from 1949. He's wearing a sailor's uniform, the white on his head is part of the hat.
I was inspired to make this puzzle both from solving puzzle #10192: Classic Movies 1 earlier today, and from watching the musical on stage Thursday evening, and then the movie yesterday.

I too love Singin' in the rain the best, but Make 'em laugh is amazing when you see someone doing all those tricks on stage, and I loved the stage version of Good morning, as well.
I think the thing that fascinated me the most with the stage version was probably the raining though.
