#10: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Feb 20, 2011
So, it's a nature-watching stand. Excellent idea!

Joel, the cats climbed higher up. Thanks for the link, Jota. The article explains it a lot better than I can. Carol, hope you are feeling better. I like watching birds as much as cats do -- I keep a bird guide book close by because I never know who will show up - a baby hawk after a storm, a white baby owl that used to perch on the front tire of the truck, a yellow meadowlark...

Nice puzzle. It is interesting to see how people learn stuff here - hunting is very much a part of our culture here as well and we have a tree stand on our property. My husband and his friends mostly hunt with bow and arrows. I am always amazed at how long they can sit so still in one place.
#16: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Feb 21, 2011
See? Watching football is *training*.
#17: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Feb 21, 2011
lol Joe. Susan, my husband said he would get a 2-person tree stand if I could sit still and be quiet -- I can't be quiet/sit still for a few minutes, much less for hours.

Teresa, I saw that video. It's amazing! I like the part when the bear gets over to the clearing and looks back, like "what was that". The guy on the stand was so calm.
#22: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Mar 6, 2011
his friend probably had a gun pointed directly at the bears head so the camera man wasnt scared
haha
