Is the cross on the wall foreshadowing?
#4: Ellen Vollor (evollor) on Aug 15, 2010 [SPOILER]
I believe that it is the cross. Not to mention that I believe that Judas was on the right hand side of Jesus.

This is a great puzzle Tom. I was able to solve 80+% with just line logic. It seems so close to being line logic solvable.

I only used (internal) edge logic on the 3 clue in row 2 towards the end of the puzzle. The rest was line logic.

Regardless, it is still one of your best solving puzzles. Thanks.

I thought it was the cross. No one put a cross on the wall before the crucifixion, which happened the next day. John was on Jesus' right side. Mary Magdeline was not at the last supper. Of course, that's only according to the painting we've all grown up with. No one really knows who sat where or who was there. Certainly, though, there was no cross on the wall.

yessss Jennifer...no cross on the wall...but was Mary Mgdeline present or not?

I don't think Mary Magdeline is in your picture. In Da Vinci's painting, she certainly was not there. John was on Jesus' right side; Judas Iscariot was on John's right side. After that, I don't know, but they all look like men to me, so that leaves out Mary Magdeline. In real life, I imagine Mary Magdeline, as well as Mary, Jesus' mother, and other women were there. The women may not have been seated at the table, as, I think, that was not the custom back then, but they were probably serving the meal. On the other hand, Jesus didn't always follow the customs of the day, so He may have had His mother at His side--right or left. She was very important to Him--more important than Mary Magdeline. So, is one of the figures in your picture supposed to be Mary Magdeline? I don't think so, as they all look like men to me. This is sure fun to figure out!
