Puzzle Description:

A cachelot is another name for the sperm whale. The word is derived from an archaic French word for tooth.

The image shows a dwarf sperm whale. If this one were a typical sperm whale, it would not fit in my puzzle. :-)

You can't see his blow hole, because it is on the left side of his head.

Here's another new word for you: Sperm whales produce ambergris, a dark, waxy substance (related to cholesterol) that is produced in the lower intestines, and is sometimes found containing squid beaks.

Here is a video story about a friendly sperm whale:

excellent. the diver is a nice touch, complete with airtank on his or her back. looks like a tense moment between the whale and the diver.

Sperm whale makes sense. Otherwise, I couldn't figure out why a kangaroo killed that guy!

I also like the inclusion of a diver. It's funny; I was actually 100 percent sure it was derived from French, but I was taking the verb "cacher" which means to hide and figured it meant "well-hidden". But you say it comes from tooth... That puts a "dent" in my theory. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

Thanks Velma.

Besmirched and Aurelian, thanks for making me smile. :-)
