Puzzle Description:
The meaning of "cruciverbalism" is the art of crossword compilation or being a fan of crossword puzzles. Those are big fat clues on the left, and there is a big fat blue pencil with a big fat eraser to correct all the big fat mistakes.

I'll bet there's a lot of pen solvers here. When I did them every day, I eventually was able to work them in pen only. Now that I only do them once in awhile, I need a pencil with a good eraser.
I am a pen solver as well and the Times Saturday puzzle lasts me all week!#17: Diana W (aeris) on Jul 27, 2010 [SPOILER]
I always use a pencil, but a rarely actually finish one. I prefer puzzles where I can be 100% that my answers are correct, like pbn. :)#18: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Sep 16, 2011 [SPOILER]
I use a pen, but sometimes a few of the entries are extra thick, because I had to write the correct letters over the wrong ones :)#19: CB Paul (cbpaul) on Aug 30, 2018
And the description is even better than the puzzle!#20: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 4, 2018
Thanks, Paul.
