even more so, how many of you uvulate every day

wow - i had no idea what this was called, but have seen examples of women (always seems to be women) in the middle east and africa who sing in this manner. i tried it and it is not that easy! As for uvulating - judging from the few deinitions i found online, i'm not sure if i've ever done it and i might be afraid to try. nice puzzle, teresa.

Um, I don't think I want to use any words from the Urban Dictionary. Most of them are not real words anyway, and half of them are gross or obscene. So, I'll just stick to my old worn out Merriam Webster.

I wondered what the image would be for this puzzle, and it turned out to be an effective one, especially given the size. Very nice.

I love the word ululate. It has that certain...onomatopoeia (another word I love).

I agree Liz. And a clever picture to define the word.

I just tried ululating for the first time and got the strangest looks from my husband and step-son...lol! It's kinda fun. :) just like the puzzle was/is.
