It is dangerous to use electronics during a thunderstorm, they attract lightening and static electricity.

Yeah, Ida's tornadoes smashed some houses in nearby towns, but I am fortunate to not even have a tree down. In fact, despite the winds, our recyclables can by the street didn't even tip over!
The lake near our house has a couple trees down, though. I took a walk and saw the fresh broken wood where full-grown trees were split at the trunk.
