#11: Jota (jota) on Jun 26, 2010 [SPOILER]
Bugaboo is a legendary scary creature hidden in this case in a Brooklyn forest.
#12: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jun 26, 2010
and your point is??? Jota
#13: Jota (jota) on Jun 26, 2010
I don't have a point, always an arrow ...
#14: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 27, 2010
Haha. Tom did the same thing to me - made a puzzle for/about me and I really had no clue what it was supposed to be. I made a guess and Tom agreed, but I don't know if that was what he intended.

So, it probably has to do with the name/word "bugaboo" - which is one of those words that can mean one thing to one family/culture and something entirely different in another family/culture. It could be part of a legend passed down from parent to child in bedtime stories. Or maybe it's just "bugaboo" with no special meaning beyond what is in the dictionary:

1. An object of obsessive, usually exaggerated fear or anxiety.
2. A recurring or persistent problem.
#15: Byrdie (byrdie) on Jun 27, 2010
I was going to say I'd go with definition 2 but I really don't have any reason to pick on bugaboo.
#16: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jun 27, 2010
i'm not picking on bugaboo, bugaboo just seems to have a special insight and story telling ability. The meaning of the name means nothing to be.
Teresa: your ascension to the sun was mostly about your trek towards finding the light
#17: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 27, 2010
Ahhhh. Then I was way off. :-D
#18: Jane Doe (telly) on Jul 6, 2010
enjoyed the solve.
my guess: it's some green skyscrapers that we're only seeing the top of and godzilla is climbing up and you can see his left arm is about to grab a huge black cow that obviously lives on top of one of those buildings.

Ok, so what is it really? bugaboo?
#19: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jul 6, 2010
i think telly wins for the most creative guess
#20: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Oct 29, 2010
a long earthworm going across the grass to his food bowl, even though the food bowl doesn't look like one; maybe the food bowl is one of those castle things in chess an apology to all chess players because I don't know the real name.
#21: Byrdie (byrdie) on Oct 30, 2010
A rook.
#22: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Nov 3, 2010
thanks Martin.
#23: Edith Clark (eclark) on Jul 12, 2011
If it's about Bugaboo maybe it's a bug (although it looks more like a worm) about to scare a . . . cow, maybe?
#24: annalivia (annalivia) on Oct 18, 2011 [SPOILER]
it's a snake crawling over a turtle to get to a siege engine which is moving toward a castle that's off-picture. the snake laid eggs in the castle and wants to rescue them before the castle is destroyed. the turtle is trying to escape from the destruction and just happened to be in the snake's way.
