His name is "Weird" but he's really just White and Nerdy:

Al was the subject of a "Behind the Music" documentary by cable channel VH1. Unlike other such celebrity documentaries in this series, his did not include any mention of alcoholism, drug abuse, divorce, gambling, religious cults or sexual escapades.

I love that video (and song). I've been a fan of his for what seems like decades (maybe it has been). Nice puzzle!

Thanks, Gator. With a theme like this, we just had to have at least one Weird Al entry. This is the fourth one I tried to create. The first three (with the glasses and mustache) just would not become solvable, even with hours of reworking. This one is just one pixel away from being solvable, but it's not too difficult.

Teresa, I found it to be completely solvable.

Oops, I meant to say, this puzzle is one pixel away from being unsolvable. :-)

Thanks, all.

Very good Teresa and totally solvable.

Very nice to solve.

When I still lived in California, I worked for an advertising agency. I had the chance to go to a release party for a new music magazine at Spago. There were several celebraties there but the one I had a chance to talk to was Weird Al. I told him he was my favorite rock and roll accordian player.

The smartass gal clinging to him told me that I was dumb because he was the only rock accordian player. I reminded her of the gal that sometimes plays with John Mellencamp and of the Bodeans. He turned to her and said, "You know, he's right." and walked away as she was left slack jawwed.

He's much quieter, shy and low key when he's not in the spot light.

I love this puzzle! The puzzle was the right amount of challenging, the image is amazing, the title is clever, and the subject is perfect for the contest. In my opinion, I think this should have taken first place. :)
