This puzzle is line logic solvable. Please see here for more information. http://webpbn.com/read.cgi?type=T&id=227&what=allrep

There are 3 hard cells that you will have to figure out. The rest should be fairly straight forward.

Got this one with the logic. No guessing needed. Keep on making the logical ones Gator. It makes up for all the repetitive color lines and squares. :)

thanks for another great solving puzzle gator
i always look forward to yours

I couldn't figure out what the image was without the explanation. Tough solve.

I think of that kind of logic as "empty space" logic. Requires some careful thinking, and makes for an enjoyable challenge. Keep 'em coming!

okay Gator, i solved it by using edge logic on right side

Not far into the puzzle, the first hard part is figuring out that R11C13 has to be a dot.

A little further along, while not strictly necessary, I thought it was neat to note that R12C11 had to be a dot.

The second hard part is in row 16. R16C10 either has to be part of the 2 clue or it is the 1 clue. In either case, R16C8 has to be a dot.

A little more line solving later, look at row 3. We again have the same situation as before. R3C16 has to be either part of the 2 clue or the 1 clue. In either case, R3C18 has to be a dot. The rest will solve normally from there.

Oh my gosh, that was hard. But very satisfying to solve. I think I like this image better too. Thanks for making these, Gator.

Thanks Teresa.

sometimes i just want to kick myself for holding on too hard to what i think i've solved already. i've been struggling with this one for a loooooong time and finally just cleared it and started over and it went very smoothly...it had tricky parts and i think it went so "smoothly" because i was already so familiar with it. difficult puzzle, nice image.

...and was determined to do it LLS :)

If I know a puzzle is solvable with only line logic, I always feel compelled to solve it that way. It sounds like you have a similar view.

Thanks.

Great fun! Thanks!

I used edge logic at the top, but LL for the rest.

Excellent puzzle, I needed to look at your hints to get me through, thanks Gator :)

I always aim to please. ;)

Oh my goodness. Did I just figure out the tricks with line logic on this one?

I found the strategic areas to be C8 and C18:

- In C8, you can remove two squares by looking at R16.
- In C18, I dropped two squares looking at R3, the one Gator notes the other way around.

The logic was kept within the lines that led to me solving those areas, and eventually, the puzzle. I almost did edge logic on the 7 but the first trick solved most of the 7 for me. I did use the tricks again in R13 later on to solve the second-to-last 2 in C11.

Gator, I am just amazed by your exceptional skill that you elaborated - to create this kind of detailed and challenging miniatures of 'logical artwork'. Both the solving method and the visual effect makes me delighted, and it does so even more after solving so many of your puzzles. Nice!

Thanks for the very nice words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

This popped up in the random puzzles section today, and I found that I had saved a partial solution. A very rewarding solve!
