Merriam-Webster defines a rebus like this: "a representation of words or syllables by pictures of objects or by symbols whose names resemble the intended words or syllables in sound; also : a riddle made up of such pictures or symbols." Wow, Billie, being that I'm a librarian, I like to see a person quote the dictionary! I actually got the puzzle from a word rebus book. The author states that he also likes to call them Position Puzzles. Do you like that description better?#8: Carol Brand (KarylAnn) on May 31, 2010
