I used a ton of what I think of as "extension pole" logic (only a certain number of columns or rows can extend past a certain point) to get pretty far in this one, especially around his bigger eye, but ultimately, I hit a wall. About 100 or so pixels left unsolved.

I wouldn't say "much" guessing, though. And the image is nice.

lots of backtracking but only one solution. nice and hard like they should be. well done.

I used lots of what I call "contradiction logic" - where I say "suppose this line of 6 starts *here*" and solve until I hit a spot where no matter what color a particular pixel is there's a red ball in either a row or a column. Then I revert and mark that starting pixel as blank. Line logic and repeat until I get somewhere.
