Replying twelve years later to Jota's comment: I was fascinated by Cobra Kai, the Karate Kid continuation 35 years after the original movie, where the original actors play the same roles, all grown up and themselves parents of teenagers in today's world. It had more violence than I could handle watching, but I kept going anyway because the idea of continuing a story so much later was so intriguing.
