This puzzle is line logic solvable. Please see here for more information. http://webpbn.com/read.cgi?type=T&id=227&what=allrep#2: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 12, 2010
for the life of me I can't seem to solved this one with line logic only#3: Gator (Gator) on May 12, 2010 [HINT]
You will reach a point in the puzzle where it seems that there are no moves left. Look very closely at row 6 and think of how that row could be filled in.#4: Wombat (wombatilim) on May 12, 2010 [HINT]
Ah, yes, there it is. There appear to be 2 squares on R6 that the helper/help button can't find, but nevertheless must contain a dot through line solving. Fortunately, the error checker can find them.#5: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 12, 2010
whats this error checker??? i use my brain to solve the puzzles#6: Lena Rohner (lella42) on May 13, 2010
i don't know how to logically solve this, i had to guess between 2 possibilities :( and i can't figure out row 6 either.#7: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 13, 2010
me too Lena, R-6 has 13 possibilities to fill in a 4 & 2 and only have C-8 filled in#8: Gator (Gator) on May 13, 2010 [HINT]
I think I was assuming you would have the dot from analyzing column 10 before analyzing row 6.#9: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 13, 2010
In column 10, R5C10 has to be the 1 clue or part of the 2 clue. In either case, R6C10 will have to be a dot.
Now look at row 6. The 4 clue has to go on either the left or right side of the dot. If it goes on the right side, then R6C8 has to be part of the 2 clue (and R6C3 - R6C6 would be dots). If it goes on the left, then the 2 4 clues can only fit in one way AND R6C5 would be a dot. So for either case, R6C5 is a dot.
It will solve normally from there.
Still considered line solving as you are only analyzing one row at a time. :)
BRAVO!is a perfect LLS#10: Wombat (wombatilim) on May 13, 2010
Tom - the error checker is the little red dot that shows up when what you've put in that row/column is impossible based on the number clues, like putting 7 together in a row where the highest number clue is a 6.#11: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 13, 2010
yep, i know wombat, but didn't think of it as a solver#12: bugaboo (bugaboo) on May 13, 2010
thanks for responding :)
great puzzle to solve#13: Joel Lynn (furface1) on May 13, 2010
I gave up on this one a few days ago, but got through it today. But I did guess what it was going to be based on the title.#14: chuck combs (domjat) on May 14, 2010
Great puzzle gator. Always love to solve your puzzles. they make me work just a little harder to get to the answer.#15: Wombat (wombatilim) on May 15, 2010
Tom - I often use the error checker to "check my math" as it were. If I'm not 100% sure I've counted correctly I'll try the opposite of what I think the square should be to see if it gives the error it should. :)#16: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 15, 2010
Wombat, i get it now, i use it on large puzzles myself when my eyes start getting weak and teary. Thx#17: Kylie :) (misty) on Aug 19, 2010 [SPOILER]

Good puzzle with nice difficulty level!#19: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Jul 11, 2017
Surprisingly tough puzzle and a neat, simple image. Would never have thought of.#20: Gator (gator) on Jul 13, 2017
Thanks!#21: Luis Cavazos (luishifto) on Oct 25, 2017
I don't know why but this one was particulary easy to me. I tought was easy for others too but seeing the comments it was not.#22: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Oct 25, 2018
I enjoyed solving this one a couple years back, and again just now. 20x20 black and white is my favorite size, and this was an excellent challenge.#23: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Oct 25, 2018
Wow...spent some time solving this one...but did it!#24: Vaggelis Kamaris (evag7651) on Jan 16, 2022
