nice puz, Gator .... had some problem with the bottom 5, did some guessing, explain my error please.

I believe the hardest cells to figure out are that R13C8 and R14C3 have to be dots.
#3: Joel Lynn (furface1) on May 12, 2010 [HINT]
I agree with Tom, I used trial and error on the bottom 2 rows.
#4: Wombat (wombatilim) on May 12, 2010 [HINT]
Both of the squares Gator mentioned are ones the Helper/Help button won't find but the error checker will. They both involve elimination based on the particular arrangement of the filled-in squares compared to the number clues.

In the case of R13, you have 2 filled in, 1 blank, 1 filled in, another 1 blank, another 1 filled in. The 2 together have to be part of the 4 or the whole row doesn't work. The first separate can either be the 1 or part of the 4. The second separate can be either the 1 or part of the 2. Either way, there must be a dot in R13C8.

Later on, we get to R14. We have 2 filled in, 1 blank, 5 filled in. The 5 filled in are obviously part of the 8. The 2 can either be the 2 or be the end of the 8. Either way, there is a dot in R14C3.

Lovely image and a real pleasure to solve. Thank you for making these cool puzzles for us, Gator. You're the best!
#6: Matt Coulter (mcoulter) on May 12, 2010 [HINT]
Yep, some fairly complex edge logic is needed to place a few of the pixels from the 5 in the bottom row and the 8 from the next row up. Once those are in place, though, the rest of the puzzle solves nicely - like a reward for your hard beginning efforts. :)

great logical solve
#8: Jan Wolter (jan) on May 13, 2010 [HINT]
I did no edge logic here. Line-by-line worked all the way through. A terrifically fun puzzle that looks great too.
#9: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on May 13, 2010
A very challenging but enjoyable puzzle
#10: Gator (Gator) on May 13, 2010

I totally agree with Jan.
#12: Byrdie (byrdie) on Jun 16, 2010
I didn't guess anywhere but this sure was a challenge to solve. Nice image.
#13: Gator (Gator) on Jun 22, 2010
Thanks Jota and Martin.
#14: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz71) on Sep 25, 2011
Totally excellent puzzle Gator! :)
#15: Edith Clark (eclark) on Jan 16, 2012
I agree with everyone who made a positive comment and I'm pretty sure I didn't guess. Problem is, sometimes I start a puzzle and come back days later. Who knows what I did the first time? :)
#16: Gator (gator) on Jan 16, 2012
Thanks!

Another great one!
I remember havng a hard time with this one a couple years ago.
Now, I found this to be an enjoyable solve, with my added solving experience.

Thanks Kadou!

No guessing. I enjoyed solving this. It's got that toughie line-logic that requires a careful eye.
