One of the better sea-horses I've seen here.

And I did see it rather early-on.
#2: Sydnee Sherman (syd) on Apr 3, 2010
yeah i'm scoring this really low because there are so many sea horses and they all look the exact same.
#3: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Apr 3, 2010 [SPOILER]
Syd: If all the sea horses look the same and are the same difficulty, then they should all be rated the same.

Not everyone has gone through the entire database and anyone who meets up with this one first shouldn't be put off with a low grade if it really is as good as the rest.

Everyone starts somewhere. Every puzzle should be rated on its own merits.

syd is right about there being many seahoarses

Yes, there are. I've solved at least three myself. However, the first one I solved was certainly not the first here.
Many people use the RANDOM function and could meet with any of the puzzles first. Others just browsing might be put off of a nice sea horse puzzle because of low ratings when it is just as good or better than one that was merely published earlier.

Also, two puzzles that look very similar can solve completely differently. If a puzzle is a good PUZZLE, it should be marked as a good one.
#6: Teresa K (fasstar) on Apr 4, 2010 [SPOILER]
Nice puzzle, Jorge, I enjoyed solving this one.

There are over 8,000 puzzles here, and unless you have solved every one of them, there is no way to know if a subject has been done before. As some of you know, the description field is not included when you do a search. So if "seahorse" is in the description of 10 puzzles but not in the title and not in the comments, those puzzles cannot be identified. A puzzle creator should not be criticized or penalized (with lower ratings) for not knowing a certain image has already been portrayed.

Funny thing: "Syd" has only solved 2% of the puzzles but knows there are lots of sea horses. Hmmmm.

Teresa is right. Curios thing, Syd. How do you know ...?

I rate lower for boring puzzles and the fact that I've done practically this exact seahorse several times before makes it boring.
#10: Corey Beaudoin (red) on Apr 11, 2010
You must have a thing for seahorses, cause this is the only seahorse puzzle I think I've done.
#11: Merili (merilinnuke) on Apr 20, 2010 [SPOILER]
That's a great seahorse and ditto what Joe said.
Hey "Syd" - you're busted!!! :D

Very well drawn. Very nice.
