piece of cake

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.
#3: Gator (Gator) on Apr 5, 2010 [HINT]
I solved this one completely with edge logic (well, A LOT of edge logic).
#4: Ed Donahue (edzoid) on Apr 5, 2010 [SPOILER]
Once I got started, this was LESS THAN difficult. :-)
#5: Ray Star (RazorStar) on Apr 5, 2010
Yeah once you figure out where it starts it's pretty cakey.
#6: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Apr 5, 2010 [HINT]
you can rule out that the 3s in the top and bottom rows can go anywhere in the middle (they all alternate 1-2-1-2 etc)

you are left with either the extreme right or the extreme left edges as options

edge logic in one place (trying the top 3 on the left) rules that out, and then it solves "pretty cakey"

That was fun. I looked at the clues for awhile, sorted out some edge logic in my head, followed the pattern visually, then "saw" what it would look like.

Good illustration of edge logic!

I enjoy these extreme edge logic puzzles where everything falls out after finding where to start.

I tried to poke around on the left edge at first--then I saw what bugaboo saw.
