Puzzle Description:

... and I will give you a nice surpise: a chocolate dipped strawberry - my favorite valentine treat. But not just one!

When I was little, one of my brothers (my favorite) would say to me "Open your mouth and close your eyes, and I will give you a nice surprise." Then he would pop a piece of candy in my mouth. He liked to give us younger kids fun surprises now and then. My younger brother said this to me once, and then he stuck his grubby finger in my mouth. Yuck!!!! Gross!!! He liked pranks more than pleasant surprises. He is still quite a trickster and teases his sisters whenever the opportunity arises, but I love him anyway. :-)

Excellent job. One of the best small 5-colored puzzles I have done. Something about this puzzle just really made me like it. I guess I am just a sucker for close-ups.

Very nice! It took me a couple of seconds to see the fingers and then is was, "wow, how neatly done".

Oh, I'm glad you like it! I worked a long time on this one.
#5: Sallie Wilbur (sarriemom) on Feb 12, 2010
Mmmmm! I might have to drop some hints to my husband to get me some of these for Valentine's Day. ;)

I had a romantic boyfriend once who showed up at my door on Valentine's Day and said "Let's go." He took me to the park, and he had two tupperware containers with him. In one was fresh strawberries. In the other was hot fudge dip that he had made himself. It was heavenly. Better than boxed chocolate and roses any day.

Sallie, if he doesn't get them, YOU can get them. Tell him they are an aphrodisiac! :-)

Really great puzzle! The image is nothing short of terrific! Your skills and talent are on display....nicely done. Not to mention - my mouth is watering!
#9: Lars Janqqvist (janq) on Feb 12, 2010
Excellent! I didn't see it until the puzzle was about 95% done.

Thanks, Lars and Alison.

Yum! I love your puzzles, Teresa, and I'm always happy to see you've created a new one. Thanks!

I'm glad you liked it, Nancy. My challenge was to make a Valentine puzzle with no hearts. Of course, strawberries are hearts. They are Mother Nature's way of saying "I love you."

Now that's what I call yummy...my mouth is watering too! I'd like some of these!
fun solve and great little image.

Thanks, Telly. I reworked this one many times before publishing. First I made just the strawberry with the chocolate, but it looked weird. I tried it a different angle, and it still looked weird. Then I realized I had the chocolate on the top instead of the bottom. (It's been a long time since I'd had one.) But even with the chocolate on the right half, it still wasn't a good enough puzzle - too much black, not enough challenge. Then I added the fingers and that did it! But it's still not too hard.

Yum!

I love it! It actually took me longest to see the fingers, I couldn't figure them out until I read the description. I really like it, and I like the fact that you can finish the green early on, and have fewer colors left to deal with. You made me want strawberries now! Well, they're in season, so maybe I'll get some. Great puzzle! :)

Thanks, Diana.

I actually did get some strawberries and had them for breakfast today, and I had to come back and look at the image again. Still great!

Love the fruit. Don't understand the extra lines and shape.
#23: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Jul 30, 2018 [SPOILER]
I'm always extremely leery of that particular offer, but fun puzzle and great image!
It's totally the close up view you get when someone puts one of these up to your face :)

Si, Julio. Las fresas están en temporada ahora. El chocolate siempre está en temporada.
