It's a book. A fantasy series. For young adults. It's really good.

Fairy and Ferry sound nothing alike. Maybe bc I'm from New York and I talk with an accent...

Very interesting, Julie. I'm trying to imagine how they would sound different.
#15: Jen (LightVader) on Dec 8, 2009
I think it might just be you Julie. They sound the same to me and I'm also from NY.

#18: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Dec 9, 2009
I enjoyed this one too! Thanks T!

I also very much like the way you did the water...running it into the frame.
#19: Jen (LightVader) on Dec 9, 2009
I agree with #18. That was a nice touch.
#20: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 9, 2009
That was originally unintended. But I noticed it while test solving it, and I thought, hmmm, I think I'll just leave it, I kinda like it that way. So there ya go. I should make mistakes more often. :-)
#21: Julie Katz (katwomanjulie) on Dec 9, 2009
Fairy like Dairy and Ferry like Berry.
#22: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 9, 2009
LOL!!! I (and probably many others) laugh because those 2 words for us are pronounced the same! How are they pronounced differently is what we want to know.
#23: Julie Katz (katwomanjulie) on Dec 9, 2009
Ok... Fairy like Air... and Fehhhh ree

short e sound like EH like Rhianna's song You can stand under my umbrella ella ella eh eh that sound is in Ferry while they other is is AERee
#24: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 9, 2009
Is fairy for you pronounced like FAY-ree?
#25: Jane Doe (telly) on Dec 9, 2009
One of my favorites of this series.
per #7-I like that she's a little crooked. I just thought she was an older fairy ;)
really like the water too.

it's pronounced like carry and barry and larry and fairy and dairy all of those rhyme but

Ferry is like berry and merry they have an EH sound as the vowel
#31: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 10, 2009
Never mind. It's not working, since in our minds, ALL of those words have the "eh" sound.
#32: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 11, 2009
:-D
#33: Jane Doe (telly) on Dec 13, 2009

#34: Julie Katz (katwomanjulie) on Dec 14, 2009

#35: Jota (jota) on Dec 14, 2009
Mary and Merry.
#36: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 14, 2009
Nobody says "MAY-ree" do they Jota?

But I understand now what you meant, Julie.
#37: Jota (jota) on Dec 14, 2009
Marys born in May perhaps? ;-)
#38: Julie Katz (katwomanjulie) on Dec 14, 2009
I wish one of you couldjust call my cell phone and I can tell you how us NY's pronounce it.
#39: Jan Wolter (jan) on Jan 10, 2010
I fixed Jota's #27 so the pronounciation symbols come out right.

My partner grew up in NYC and she also insists that "Mary" and "merry" are pronounced differently. I'm a midwesterner and can't hear the difference.
#40: Jota (jota) on Jan 10, 2010
Thanks Jan I look a little less crazy now.
#41: M (rmm) on Jan 11, 2010
Beautiful fairy! And yes fairy and ferry are the same unless you're pronouncing it furry or fury or firry or firey or feery.
#42: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jan 11, 2010
Thanks, Fran.
#43: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Dec 18, 2010
