Puzzle Description:

Candy bar. Too tempting. I couldn't help myself. Sorry. I'll buy some to share with all of you. :-)

This is what I give out on Halloween. Each fun size bar has a little card attached to it. The card says:

"Don't snicker at Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. This candy will be gone in a minute. But FASD lasts a lifetime."

On the back of the card it says, "Alcohol causes more damage to the developing baby than any other substance of abuse."

Snickers bars are healthy (compared to other candy). The chocolate helps to elevate your levels of serotonin, contributing to your happy feelings.

And the peanuts have resveratrol, which may help reduce the risks of heart disease and cancer. Peanuts act as a potent antioxidant and helps reduce the LDL (bad) cholesterol.

And sugar is not all bad, in small amounts. Sugar triggers production of the brain's natural opioids. Just be careful to not eat too much. One fun size Snickers bar a day can be GOOD for you!

man now i want one and i dont have any. bummer. we only have dark chocolate brick in the house. milk chocolate is actually bad for you. dark chocolate is the good one for you. best snack for the kids, melted dark chocolate, dip fresh strawberrys, let cool on wax paper. i only give out hershys fun size dark chocolate bars. but i do remember the snickers from a long time ago.

Oh - dark chocolate is better for you, but that does not mean milk chocolate is bad for you. Dark chocolate is more filling and reduces craving.

All chocolate contains flavonoids that create good cardiovascular effects and may lead to a lower risk of heart disease and certain cancers. Dark chocolate has more flavonoids than milk chocolate, but both are "good" in moderation. A number of studies have found that chocolate's main fat, stearic acid, has a neutral effect on the kind of cholesterol associated with the risk of heart disease. That goes for both dark and milk chocolate.

Hurray for chocolate!

Yum!

Teresa, you should check out my candy series...
#7: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 27, 2009 [SPOILER]
Oh yes, I remember doing a few candy bars (yours), but most of them were too big for me to enjoy. I work on a laptop and I have to solve in "bigger" mode because of my vision, so the bigger puzzles. Your candy bars don't have bites taken out of them. :-)

I love Snickers bars. I'm going out now to buy fifty pounds of fun sized bars. With any luck I'll have a couple left to give out on Halloween. :)
#9: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 27, 2009
:-D That's what I do too!
#10: Jan Wolter (jan) on Oct 28, 2009 [SPOILER]
I'll let you by on the "Snickers bars are good for you" thing, because some theories are too pleasant to question, but I gotta take a stand on the wrapper. The wrapper is not good for you. It also doesn't really add much to the pleasure of eating the candy. Next time, take the wrapper off before taking a bite.
#11: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 28, 2009 [SPOILER]
:-D Actually, I did try to make it look like the wrapper was pulled back, but it wouldn't work. I'm all for licking the wrapper though.

Jan stole my comment.

Very funny. And I don't care if they are god for me, they make me feel good...for the moment anyway. They make dark chocolate Milky Ways-why not dark chocolate Snickers?
#14: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 29, 2009
That was the funniest Freudian slip I've ever seen. (#13) I have to admit that I consider chocolate to be a sacred food. Please don't change it, Beth, I love your comment just the way it is. :-)
#15: Gator (Gator) on Oct 29, 2009 [SPOILER]
#13 - They DO make dark chocolate Snickers. I just had one. :)
#16: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Oct 29, 2009
Quite fun! Love the subject - it's my favorite also.

Thanks, BlackCat.

Snickers are healthier than what I am eating. I did the puzzle and had an overwhelming sugar craving...

All we have in the house is Betty Crocker icing. mmm... icing.
#19: Sallie Wilbur (sarriemom) on Nov 1, 2009 [SPOILER]
Yum, my favorite too! We buy other things to give out because if we had Snickers I'd eat them all myself and there wouldn't be any left for the trick-or-treaters. Luckily my daughter doesn't like Snickers so I get a few from her treat bucket. :)
#20: Jane Doe (telly) on Nov 8, 2009
Mmmm...lol #10. I had to reread #13 to catch the slip...lol. :)
My favorite too. :)
