This one requires a bit of edge logic, but mostly simple line logic to solve easily.

What a wonderful picture, Teresa. This was so much fun to solve. Thanks again.

I'm glad you liked it.

For those who resorted to guessing: You don't have to guess, just do some simple edge logic on the bottom line, as there is only one possible position. The rest will solve with line logic.

Quite a challenge to get starged, but solves easily once you make the "breakthrough."

So after doing some simple edge logic on the bottom line, I see three possible places the 9 could be not one: C9-17, C30-38, or C31-39. So this gets me a lot of dots in the bottom row, but no black squares. Edge logic on the left side works better, but not great. It peters out quickly. At this point, I've got some splotches in the middle and a bit along the left side. I'm pretty stuck, but the helper can solve it so presumably there is some way forward that I'm not seeing. The puzzle is certainly logically solvable, but I don't think the hints above do it.

Look carefully at column 37.
