According to a major study, Wilderness: Earth's Last Wild Places, carried out by Conservation International, 46% of the world's land mass is wilderness.

Here's some wilderness trivia:

11% of the world's land mass is protected wilderness that is relatively untouched by humans.

In the U.S. about 5% of the land mass is wilderness, and half that is in Alaska.

There's lots of wilderness in Arizona. Like the Rincon mountain range which is just to the east of where I live. Here's a photo I took of the moon rise over the Rincons, taken about two blocks from my house:
