ISTJs are systematic, painstaking, thorough, and hardworking. They get the job done and complete it on schedule. They are serious and sincere in whatever they do. They work well within a structure, follow the hierarchy, and are particularly strong and careful in keeping track of facts and details. They are cautious, generally seeking to maintain the status quo. They are at their best getting things to the right place at the right time.

Famous ISTJ's include Henry Morgan and Jack Webb (Dragnet), U.S. Presidents George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Benjamin Harrison, Calvin Coolidge, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and George W. Bush.

Tremendous image. At first it looked like it might be some Middle Eastern/Indian guy based on the hat. Then I thought it was Sherlock Holmes until the very end. The mustache part was the last part I solved, and then it completely became Clouseau. Loved it.

Thanks, Adam.

I love old school Pink Panther. Way better than the new ones. I also had a hard time figuring out what the image was. For awhile I thought it might be a clown. Very nice!

I absolutely loved the solve, and the image is sensational. Kudos and thank you.

Thanks, Lollipop. I had fun with these. Did you take the test to find out which type you are? (Look at Topic #183: Myers-Briggs, What's Your Type?)

I am strongly J for sure (67% vs 33%), but I hover around the axes in all the other dimensions. I first took the test 15 years ago in a career workshop, and was 50/50 in two of the measurements and no more than 3% off the centre in the other two. I figured that meant I had no personality at all (being an accountant, lol), but the *extremely* tactful facilitator said I was the most balanced person he had ever encountered. (My children would beg to differ.)

Which reminds me of an accounting joke (probably the only one): How does an economist differ from an accountant? Well, an economist is exactly the same as an accountant, but without the personality.

Awesome image. Quite fun to solve.

I've never seen Inspector Clouseau, but as a detective was forming, I was thinking, "Good portrayal of an ISTJ! They often go into law enforcement." Even if the picture had been just any detective, the idea would be spot on.

What's an ISTJ?
