Well, if you want to do more Gator puzzles, you could check out http://wiipicross.com . I believe he has about 310 puzzles posted there, and I suspect that that is part of the reason that he prefers B&W puzzles no bigger than 20x20 - he can use those on both sites. (Which, if anyone is wondering, is 200% fine with me - the puzzles you post here belong to you, you can use them as you like and the more use you make of them, the better - I've even posted a couple of my puzzles there.)

However, I don't know of any way on that site to get a list of just Gator puzzles.

How long? About an hour I would say. This site enables me to quickly come up with a unique solution puzzle (so I'm not wasting time on multiple solution puzzles), but refining a puzzle to playable form takes a bit longer.

I plan on creating more. They will usually come in spurts as does my free time. :)

A lot of the puzzles I have posted here are either exact copies of ones I've done on wiipicross.com or they are tweaked a little bit. You can get to a list of puzzles by clicking on a member name almost anywhere on the site.

I'm almost ready to take the leap to larger than 20x20. I've solved a few here, but it seems like a huge time commitment to get large puzzles in solvable form.

Actually, Gator, it doesn't take that long. I have created a lot of puzzles on here, most of them averaging 40 x 40 or so. After I had created a lot of puzzles, I realized that many of the first ones were not logically solvable (although they had unique solutions, and looked amazing). Once I had been on this site long enough to understand how puzzles work, what makes a good puzzle, and how to make them logically solvable, I have only posted logically solvable puzzles since. I just keep adding a few black pixels here and there until I get a logically solvable solution, and then keep taking away as many as possible (1 or 2 at a time) and checking solvability until it reverts back to not solvable. Then I add the last one or two pixels, and post it. I can usually do larger puzzles in an hour or so, occasionally longer.

I also visited that site. I solved a few puzzles, but don't know how you get points. Are the puzzles there numbered? How do you see what puzzles you have solved? The site seemed very confusing. I couldn't figure out if there was a way to set each mouse button to a function, instead of having to double click in oder to mark a square as blank. It just doesn't compare to this site.

There is a page that lists puzzles that you have solved and puzzles you haven't. I tend to use the random puzzle thing a lot where I go there. The solving environment doesn't have the flexibility of controls that we have here, but the puzzles are small and monochrome, so who really needs them?

I know they are planning a major revision of the site soon.

I've never figured out whether it is OK to talk about competing sites in their forums, so though I have participated there some, I have never mentioned webpbn there, which feels kind of odd to me. But overall, I like that site a lot more than most of the other competing puzzle sites I've tried. I don't even know why exactly.
