I would hate to receive care at your hospital... i might end up with crayon shavings in my IV or something. :-)
#2: Twillis (twillis) on Dec 26, 2008
I found this one tricky to solve, especially considering its size. But I got there eventually.
#3: Barb Edwards (babarann) on Dec 28, 2008 [SPOILER]

A heart monitor: http://postimage.org/image/2hf6f1hes/

I've had a couple connected to me over the years. (Individually, not at once...)
#11: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Dec 18, 2010
i know what a heart monitor is but i have never heard a heart monitor called a scope before
byrdie are you from somewhere other than the usa? just curious to know if they call it a scope in other places
#12: Byrdie (byrdie) on Dec 18, 2010
Time to expand your mind bugaboo. Yes, I'm an American, live in the US and speak English. I even use proper puncutaion.
#13: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Dec 18, 2010
but you cant spell though ("puncutaion")
haha
so where did you get "scope" from
#14: Byrdie (byrdie) on Dec 18, 2010
There's a difference between a spelling error and a typo.

There's also a difference between being ignorant and a moron. Which are you?

Ocilloscope.
#15: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Dec 18, 2010
wow you are rude and mean
#16: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 19, 2010 [SPOILER]
I had no idea what a scope is either. I'll bet there are quite a few others here who were not familiar with that meaning of the word either. Does that make me ignorant or moronic? :-D Maybe I'm just smart enough to say thank you for teaching me a new word.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscilloscope

Here's where I learned more about oscilloscopes (with an s) as well as another new word: Graticule is a grid of squares that serve as reference marks for measuring the displayed trace.

Ignorance is a lack of knowledge, not necessarily a derogatory term. So if you have no knowledge of a particular subject you would be ignorant. I admit to being so on many subjects. For instance, I couldn't hold a candle to the mathematical knowledge many on this site present. That doesn't mean I wouldn't understand it if it were explained to me, I just am not knowledgeable on the subject.

I'll go with you're smart enough ...

As far as rude or mean, I'll admit to having been bothered. I don't see rudeness in being matter of fact. bugabooo didn't understand a term I used. I was bothered by his persistance in calling that term into question - even calling my nationality into question despite my having posted numerous times where I'm from and where I'm at. I guess I took umbrage at the repeated questioning ala the tactics of a couple other bothersome individuals.

I've seen plenty I didn't, and perhaps still don't understand in the comments on this site. I'm not a pest about it and now it's clear that I don't like being pestered about it either. I do my own research and find my own answers. I've even cut and pasted foreign phrases into google to get an interpretation.

bubaboo - if you think I was namecalling and that's why you want to call me rude or mean, go back and look. I offered you the opportunity to choose your own label. How that label fits is of your own definition, not mine.

Done.
