JoDeen, Jess does not know who will receive her kidney. It will be up to the recipient to decide if they ever meet. Unfortunately, you and I are both too old to donate - I checked, hoping I could donate in her place. No dice. She would still have donated anyway, I am sure. Sometimes I wish I hadn't raised my girls to be quite so good. I know she will be fine - a friend donated a kidney to a co-worker about 15 years ago, and they are both still very healthy. But it is still nerve-wracking!
