Ok, I get it. It's been done before. No need to be rude.

LOL, I forgive you for getting upset. I thought that with you being on this site for nearly 3 years (at least based on your first puzzle-creation date) that you would have come across some of my previous comments like this, where I mention other puzzles of a similar theme. I guess not.

I rarely look at comments on puzzles. Why do you do that? And I didn't ask for your forgiveness.

Sarah, it's just something Adam does, and quite well I might add. There is no malice or criticism intended. He's sort of out site historian. Most of us find it kind of fun to compare what we designed to what other people have done in the past. After all, there are roughly 20,000 puzzles here and it's very difficult to come up with something original. But, please kept participating. We enjoy your puzzles. :)

whoa whoa....just something he does. many many of us(including me) didn't get it and thought it was rude at first. He means nothing by it, Sarah. Nor is he saying that other puzzles are better just cuz they were done before. You did great, I loved the puzzle!

just something he does. honestly, I like to see how others have interpreted or depicted something before me, so I'm glad he does it. for my puzzles, anyway.... The man has solved every puzzle on the site, and many more than once(and there's over 20,000) take what you want from that fact, but he states numbers as objective facts, not subjective opinion of your creation. he'd do better at times to say he likes or dislikes instead of cold numbers(to a new creator especially), but he's done the same thing for years, and will continue to. it's really nothing against you. don't hold it against him....

and Adam...I know you are just being you. but she is actually doing quite well with her first puzzles. great potential. try not to turn off a newbie creator. you know the effect that has been had before. you knew the effect of a "I forgive" statement would have too, and you did it anyway. I'd like to see more from her, and I think you would too. I would think you were condescending too if that's the only thing I've seen from you, without knowing you first. someone of your experience is better to guide and influence than to possibly put a bad taste in a new creator's mouth, though you had no intention of doing so.

#5 - You didn't need to ask. That is the beauty of forgiveness. It should be freely given. :-)

#7 - In case you are not familiar with my "past," don't ask me to mention which puzzles I dislike. That is how people grew to hate me in the first place, and why countless users left this site. :-) Trust me, everyone is better off with how I do things now, by merely listing numbers.

you're right, I looked into it. not newbie, but let's say "on hiatus" for a while. I've solved some of Susan Duncan's puzzles. had no idea that they were one in the same.

might be better....but those who don't know still don't "get it" at first. no fault of your own, ofc, but it may behoove everyone to put theirselves in another's shoes. for both sides. I just don't want to see this continue to keep cropping up. hell, Tom King was here forever. how long before he "got it"? years.....idk or have an answer...just hate seeing mountains be made of molehills every so often

I thought Adam was being critical, at first, too. But, I got used to it. I didn't know why Adam was doing this with the other puzzles, but I didn't consider it rude. I thought he was telling us not to duplicate other puzzles.

As someone who has taken a crack at that shield myself, I can say it is HARD to get a decent star into a small puzzle. Kudos!

Yeah, Tom, I am back at a boring desk job so I'm going to be on here a lot more :)

It's a hotel desk. When I'm here, I'm the only one here. So that's why it's so boring. No one to talk to.

I use to work in Boca Raton Hilton

I was at a Days Inn when I first was on webpbn but now I'm at a Super 8. Definitely nothing fancy :) But they're both clean hotels and that's the most important thing.

I used to stay at Suoer 8's a lot, but now I can afford a bit better. My favorite is Hampton Inn. I think they have the most comfortable beds and bed linens, and a decent breakfast is included. I even ordered online one of their duvets.

what a bizarre conversation. when one person's rudeness leads to several people leaving the site, it seems odd that other's would rush to his defense - "he's just being himself". if many people repeatedly find one person's posts to be rude, the problem is not in the misinterpretation of the many people. just my opinion

great puzzle and a fun solve.

#35 makes me sad. Jan's positive spirit made this the great site that it is. there are other sites out there with pbn-style puzzles, but i shall not venture there so long as this site exists. RIP, Jan.

Al. there were some words exchanged, so to speak, and Adam left. The users list shows his last long in as May 4, 2013. He has not been back as Adam, but that's not to say, since he was so invested in the site, that he may have visited under a different name out of curiosity to see what was going on.
