Maybe the first wish would be that the genie didn't look like Aldege.

There are the obvious things. World peace, no global warming, good health for all, the end of poverty and so on. But on a personal level I'd like to go back and fix some things.

naw, I hear ya Norma. it is what it is.... good thing is we learn from our mistakes. or even the bad things we've been through make us better and who we are today. wouldn't it be nice if we did it right the first time around though? ;)

remember wishing on a star as a kid? I always had the same wish...."that everyone was a little nicer to each other". you get older and realize that though you have no control over how others act, the wish has to start with yourself

Everbody hopes to learn from their mistakes, but it's not the mistakes I want to fix. There are some things I might have been able to prevent if things had been just a little different. Ah, well. It is what it is.

When she was seven, one of my daughters wished for no more wars, no more poverty, no more sickness, and a pony. I still have her second grade composition. One of her wishes eventually came true.

You got it, Kurt, but it came later. The mug has a photo of a later horse, faded after all these years, but I still have it too.

Speaking of horse shirts, which we weren't, the best horse sweatshirt I ever saw was one of a horse eating out of a feed bucket filled with dollar bills.

Oh, goodie. I haven't been granted a wish in a long time. Let me see, I wish a philanthropist would donate One Million Dollars to our FAS Center so I could start a diagnostic clinic and treatment center for kids affected by prenatal exposure to alcohol. I'm a little limited on what I can do for them now, considering my funding has a budget of Zero.
