el a dot in c20 near the top, and the whole thing solves with ll#2: Liz P (lizteach) on Nov 3, 2012 [HINT]
El a dot?#3: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 3, 2012
I did it mostly with edge and I think some two-way logic.
hummmmm.....#4: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 3, 2012
depends where, I suppose. when I solved it myself, all I needed was one well-placed dot. the rest was entirely ll. but then again, there are sometimes many ways to come up with the same answer. glad you took the time, Liz.. Hope you have a great weekend!
I'd like to hear what gator, bouldin, bug, infrapink, etc have to say...#5: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 3, 2012
I solved it..... but I'm not quite sure what it is.#6: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 3, 2012 [SPOILER]

Nice image!#8: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Nov 3, 2012
Edge logic on column 20 is the only thing needed besides line logic.
agreed on the solve#9: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 3, 2012
now i see the sword
i saw a faceless sleepwalker with outstretched hands (in a zombie type pose)
haha
It's one of those that now that you know what it is you feel pretty dumb for not seeing it in the first pictures. Actually, it's very good.#10: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 3, 2012
thanks Kadou, bug, Norma#11: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Nov 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
Ahh, it certainly is a sword. And here I thought it was the giant Jesus from Rio de Janeiro, or else Mario stuck in a pipe with limbs all akimbo :)#12: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
I don't get any credit for being able to solve? :( It looked like Jesus on Sugarloaf in Rio. Fun puzzle.#13: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 3, 2012
Great minds think alike, Kristen ;)#14: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Nov 3, 2012

I think lots of Catholic cities have the huge Jesus. There is one outside of Lisbon as well. I was typing my reply as you were posting.#16: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
Here is the statue, and if you look down the page, you will see that lots of cities have them:#17: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on Nov 4, 2012 [SPOILER]

Of course I hate tall puzzles with huge clues at the top (not good for me).
Excalibrant#18: Joel Lynn (furface1) on Nov 4, 2012 [SPOILER]
Made me think of the little figures kids made out of old-fashioned clothespins many years ago. I did not see a sword, but get it now.#19: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 4, 2012
wow, Joel...I forgot all about those. haven't seen a clothespin in years. thanks for the memories comin' into my lil pea-brain#20: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 4, 2012
I seem to remember one in particular that someone made into a xmas ornament to look like rudolph#21: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 4, 2012

Dennis the Peasant: Listen - Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
Arthur: Be quiet!
Dennis the Peasant: You can't expect to wield supreme power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
