Puzzle Description:

The Purolator guy that was delivering my cheque from my lawyer in Ontario, drove by my house a couple of times cause he couldn't see our house number. I found an old dog house, and an old pole with the house # out in the woods at the back of our yard. I don't know why the previous owners took the pole down,it's in good shape. I decided to put the pole through the roof of the dog house, and fasten the pole to the inside. Then i put the whole thing on the kiddy wagon and put it at the end of the driveway. It looks pretty cool if i do say so myself.

Wow....great idea & puzzle

It looks like you're trying to wave the courier over to the current year...like he was looking for you in the wrong century or something! :)
#3: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jul 2, 2012 [SPOILER]
Nice--I just painted the numbers on our mailbox, then did the same for my in-laws' mailbox.

Freudian slip? ;-)

As the self proclaimed "President for Life" of Aldegia, Aldege can now wheel his mailbox (disguised as a doghouse but in a red wagon) to his various safehouses, to avoid retribution from his increasingly rebellious subjects.

Very odd. Could be really funny.
#11: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jul 2, 2012
What a great idea. Leave it to Aldege to think up a solution like this, and then make a puzzle out of it. :-D Really fun puzzle.

Thx Tom.:)
#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
ROFL Alison, that's why it's so easy to remember my new address,it's the same # as the current year, next year i could easily forget and perhaps get lost and not be able to find my home.lol.:)
#14: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
Thx Kristen, the numbers are painted on a metal plate, almost the size of a license plate. They're quite large and visible,i have no idea why they took this pole down and put it in the bush. I didn't even see a hole where the pole use to be at the driveway,or any cement or concrete on the wood pole. The doghouse is vinyl sided and has asphalt shingles on the roof. Someone went to a lot of work to make it,why did they throw it out in the bush is a wonder.:)

LOL Travis,we have house #'s on the front porch, but the house is so far from the street that their hard to see. You can plug in the # sign to an outlet to illuminate it at night, but that doesn't help during daylight hours. Why they bothered with an illuminated # sign on the porch is a wonder cause it's not like you can get pizza or chinese food delivery out here.lol.:)
#16: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
Thx Susan,it definitely is different. It's not a mailbox though,it's just a pole with the house # on it,so people can find your address. We have to go about a mile down the highway to the community mailboxes to get our mail.:)
#17: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012
Thx Jota, you do look awesome, what colour is that Freudian slip?lol.:)
#18: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012
Very funny Sgusa. My subjects love me,and they only rebel when i mistreat them, which is always.:)
#19: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
Thx Blackcat, what's so odd?,my idea for the # sign,or the fact that i was able to think of the idea?:)
#20: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
Thx Teresa,I thought it was a good idea,it certainly is unique and different than all the other houses on the highway. Most houses just have a pole stuck in the ground. This way i didn't have to rent a post hole digger, and this thing is heavy,so it shouldn't topple over.lol.:)
#21: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Jul 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
The illuminated sign is clearly for late-night parties, so folks can find your house at the beginning of the evening, and then find the end of the driveway at the end of the night. :)

hey aldege just wondering why you posted a separate entry for each comment you are replying to
#23: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jul 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
agree with kristen and since it's on a wagon, you can wheel it out at party-time and wheel it back into the bush to keep the unwanteds confused during the day...no more meter readers, vacuum salesmen or revenuers!
#24: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012
I don't know Bug,sometimes i reply individually, and sometimes i group them up in one comment. No rhyme or reason, just the way my brain works sometimes.:)
#25: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 3, 2012 [SPOILER]
Actually David,I just carried it to the street on the kids wagon, what i should of done is incorporated the wheels and axles on the doghouse permanently, then buy the kids a new wagon.:)

it would be faster if you use Mr.B's supped-up wheelbarrow ;/
