Puzzle Description:

Every time it rains I remember I need a new umbrella

No guessing, color logic all the way!

Umbrella puzzles are popular in here, but the rain was a nice challenge :)

Keep making and solving more!

Got to the upper right rain and guessed, was wrong so changed my guess and finished.

Thanks for the comments - I was kinda scared to read them being my first go at creating a puzzle!

I am encouraged! :-)

after initial line/color logic (you only have a little blue remaining in the upper right corner at this point, but alas color logic alone can not solve this last part):

the two blue pixels in c17r1-2 are both part of "2" clues in those two rows but they cant both go to the left into c16 so at least one of them (or both) must go into c18 so r2c18 is blue
ll to finish
no guessing

Hi Bugaboo. Thanks for ur comment, but I'm not sure I follow the last part, 'II to finish. No guessing'. Also, I did manage to figure it out using logic, but I will have another go to double-check. Thanks

I checked again, & it is definitely possible to solve solely using logic.
#8: Jota (jota) on May 23, 2012
Kirstin: ll means line logic.

Kirsten, as a beginner, it's usually a good idea to only create puzzles that definitely require no guessing (the checker will tell you). Rain drops are very hard to make solvable. "Partly cloudy" weather is easier (for puzzle creation), but then you wouldn't need your umbrella. :-)

I used that too. Call it physics logic :)

An unusual umbrella, the shaft is not in the center.

I used "physics logic" - did not feel like looking multiple moves ahead.

Found to be logically solvable by gator.

Thanks for the puzzle. It was surprisingly challenging for a small puzzle and I enjoyed solving it.
