Puzzle Description:

Being the self-conscious middle-schooler that many of us were, I was much too shy to ask one of my best friends (a beautiful girl that I had had a crush on for a while) to be my girlfriend face to face... so, one night I call and ask her over the phone ...and SHE SAID YES!! The next morning I get to our home room class before her and am a little nervous about seeing her in person. Is this going to be awkward? What do I say? ...I'm sitting up on top of a desk talking to a buddy, when two arms wrap around my shoulders and gentle fingers cover my eyes. She leans into my ear and softly says with a smile "Guess who?"

WOW,what an image,cool story too David. I did the same thing when i was 12 yrs old,only i did it in person and the results were not so good. She let me down easy and said she liked me as a friend. I was crushed but it was better knowing than dreaming and wondering. Great puzzle David.:)

Jota, that's the same dot I used. I tried very hard to make this LLS, but I just couldn't justify any more changes to the image after all the compromises I made to get it this solvable.

after line logic i used edge logic on the 3 clue in r22 to get that same dot as mentioned above

Not difficult, but beautiful!

The puzzle was great fun to solve, and the story makes it even better. What a handsome guy you were (still are?). What a sweet gesture on her part. Way to go!
