Accidentally made two! (Sorry, still learning...)#2: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Jan 28, 2012
I like it! I didn't think it was solvable at first, and then I saw where I had misplaced a blue square. :)#3: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 28, 2012
Well done!
i like it too.:)#4: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jan 28, 2012 [HINT]
line/color logic solves all but the very last of the red 1s on the right and bottom areas#5: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Aug 29, 2012
using the clues from the column clues (c8-12) there are 5 remaining red 1 clues and there are only those 5 columns in which to place them between r17-18 so there is only one way to place those 1 clues to satisfy both r17-18 and c8-12 (you can use summing) but no matter what, the small square in r17-18c16-17 must be dots and it solves out
you could do the same type of logic using the 1 clues from r7,9-13c16-17 to make that same square in r17-18c16-17 dots and it solves out
alternating smile logic or summing (call it what you want)
no guessing
Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by jan.#6: Jan Wolter (jan) on Aug 29, 2012
Cool little puzzle. I solved it just the way Bugaboo did and it makes for a very interesting solve.#7: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Aug 26, 2019 [SPOILER]
That looks painful! Well conveyed.
I have a record with Leonard Nimoy singing that song.
Probably youtube-able
