Oh. I wouldn't have known that was a bud. I guessed Scent of a Woman. ;)
#3: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 19, 2012 [SPOILER]
The Godfather?
#4: Tom King (sgusa) on Jan 19, 2012
Good try, Aldege.
#5: Tonia Bergh (tonia) on Jan 19, 2012
American Beauty.
#6: Tom King (sgusa) on Jan 19, 2012 [HINT]
Good try, Tonia. That is on the cover of the DVD. However, this image has to do with something spoken at the end of the film....
#7: Meira Bracha (mbracha) on Jan 19, 2012
The rose?
#8: Tom King (sgusa) on Jan 19, 2012 [HINT]
Nice one. I remember Name of the Rose and Brotherhood of the Rose, but not The Rose. It is the last word uttered in probably the most famous film of all time.
#9: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jan 19, 2012 [SPOILER]
why are people still guessing when the link that was posted in the first comment gives you the answer?

citizen kane

BUGABOO is the GRAND PRIZE WINNER of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
#11: Tom King (sgusa) on Jan 19, 2012
2nd prize for the last utterance.... Which consits of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
#12: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Jan 20, 2012 [SPOILER]
They also ignored my "bud" hint, after I followed the link. :)
#13: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Jan 20, 2012 [SPOILER]
This one really shouldn't have a winner, since Tom told us the answer. :)
#14: Gator (gator) on Jan 20, 2012 [HINT]
Anyone else have trouble logically solving the green?
#15: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 20, 2012 [HINT] [SPOILER]
I was thinking it might be Citizen Kane while solving (after realizing it was a red flower) and the description mentioning "climactic scene" sealed the deal.

Gator, Regular edge logic gets you a dot in C1R6. If the top 4 starts in C1R7-8, then it triggers the 4 in C2 with nowhere to put the bottom 4 in C1...dotting C1R7-8. Now looking at where the bottom 4 can start, you drop all the way to the bottom as the only possibility, color in C1R17-20. LL to finish.

Found to be logically solvable by gator.
#17: Gator (gator) on Jan 20, 2012 [HINT]
Thanks. I now see several different ways to look at columns 1 and 2 to logically move forward from looking at your hints.
#18: Jota (jota) on Jan 21, 2012
Great movie!
#19: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jan 22, 2012
A most enjoyable puzzle, Tom. The image is lovely and the solve was quite a challenge. Thanks to David's hint for showing the way. :-)
#20: Tom King (sgusa) on Jan 22, 2012
Thanks everyone!
#21: Tom King (sgusa) on Jan 25, 2012
It was a challenge to make it logically solvable. Thanks, David. You may want Gator to take a look at one of your "?" marks. Thanks, Jota, and Teresa. It is always fun to challenge the best!
#22: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 26, 2012
I like my little question marks...I only consult an expert when redness appears ;)
#23: ErgoDyne (ergodyne) on Feb 9, 2012 [SPOILER]
I thought it was Beauty and the Beast when I figured out the image.
#24: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Jan 31, 2019
ErgoDyne -- That's what I thought too!
