Motorcyclist in a ball cage.

My son remembers seeing this during a Ringling Brothers circus when he was only 2 years old; the sight was so exciting and the sound was so loud!

This series has been the most fun with little tiny puzzles that are completely recognizable. I don't know how you do it, (or anyone who creates puzzles), but I thank you for all the pleasant time I can spend enjoying them.

Fantastic Brian, hey Minnie,in my opinion Brian above all others has this knack of making cool recognizable small puzzles, that always bring a smile to our faces.Merry Christmas you two.:)

Thank you both. I use the example of the motorcyclist in a cage as a physics problem in my classroom.

What is the minimum speed of a 250kg bike and rider in a 3.5m diameter cage so that the wheels of the motorcycle remain in contact with the inside of the cage when the motorcycle is completely upside down?

Just set the centipetal force equal to the force of gravity and solve the equation for speed then plug in the variables and there you have it. Spoiler alert... the mass cancels.

Fun puzzle! I've never seen one of these, but it must be exciting.

I remember those guys, from the one time I went to the Ringling Bros. (and B&B) Circus. A quick trip to the Interwebs reveals the year was 1985. It was the year of "See the Living Unicorn!" and the farewell season of famed big-cat trainer Gunther Gebel-Williams.

The unicorn was a very pretty long-haired goat, whose horns were twisted together to make a single spiral. She'd probably been groomed that way from birth, poor thing.

But I digress. The cage motorcycles were thrilling, and VERY loud.
