Puzzle Description:

...to recycle or to solve this puzzle. (Taiwanese symbol for recycling)

I like a symmetric puzzle once in awhile. Nice job.

I had (slightly paraphrased) Tom Jones running through my head during the solve. I like this symbol.

i knew i had seen this before
i think it was the last time i did a random search for taiwanese symbols because it sounded like fun! (seriously, where did you come up with this?)
haha

Nice.
#5: Kadou (Kadou) on Dec 8, 2011
Nice try, but it's not exact. :(

I thought it was strange for a recycle symbol to point all in one direction. The real one that bugaboo linked to has arrows cleverly hidden in the negative space pointing back outward.

See puzzle # 16697, Joe.

WOW! i like kadou's a LOT better! i was trying to do a 20x20 as part of marz's challenge and so the arrow points didn't align exactly since it's an even number grid with the symbol going to the edges. i spiral-staggered them off by 1 pixel each. i also rounded off the corners too much trying to both make the puzzle a slightly more interesting solve and less "nazi-ish". in the end, i lost the negative space arrows...i let my initial intention of a monochrome 20x20 take me too far off course.

oh, and to answer your question bugaboo...i'm an Architect that is LEED accredited and the specifier of all projects in my firm...so I see a LOT of recycling/recycled/recyclability symbols ;)

I went and solved Kadou's and though his is the better pictorial depiction, I like the solve on this one more.
